I'm an actuary, trained at UNAM's Facultad de Ciencias. This site exists because building is how I learn: when a topic catches me, I turn it into a working tool and write down what I discovered along the way. Every project started as a question, and what you see here is the journey.
I turn questions into tools. I wanted to understand life insurance from the inside, so I built SIMA, an engine that goes from mortality to reserves and regulatory capital. I wanted to stop getting lost in regulation, so I built an AI agent that cites the actual text of the LISF and CUSF. I wanted to master data at scale, so I put together platforms on Google Cloud. I wanted to know how a language model works, so I trained a transformer from scratch. Everything is live, and each project has its story on the blog, including what failed along the way.
At Grupo Gigante (2025-2026) I was a data scientist: reports, models, data apps, and a warehouse on Google Cloud; there I drove the design of a CDP to unify the data of a business unit. Today I work at Levely, a marketing performance agency, as a data analyst: measurement with Google Tag Manager and GA4, campaign reporting, and CRO analysis.
Tools are the means, not the end. The models live in Python, R, and SQL; deployment rides on the democratization of modern web development: Google Cloud serverless services and platforms that let an idea reach production without friction, under my own domain; and language models (RAG, agents) come in where they truly add something. I learn whatever tool the idea requires: that's why this portfolio has actuarial science, data clouds, and artificial intelligence living side by side.
